While there are plenty of opportunities to go and see and do from Castiglione the enduring calm of this village provides a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere in which to unwind.  A relaxed stroll from one end of town to the other takes less than ten minutes and passes through narrow, centuries-old architecture still carefully maintained by the townspeople.  Castiglione's peaceful day-to-day existence provides a wonderful breather from the typical hustle of seeing and doing as much as possible that usually comes with an Italian getaway, especially after a trip to the whirlwind that is Rome.
